The 9th Meeting of the Academic Council of Urgench State University Was Held
The 9th meeting of the Academic Council of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni was held. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the university, Feruza Madrahimova, with the participation of Council members.
The meeting began with positive news. First, diplomas of academic degrees and titles were awarded to faculty members who are making a significant contribution to enhancing the university’s scientific potential. The Rector sincerely congratulated all the recipients.
During the meeting, reports and presentations by responsible officials on key issues included in the agenda were heard. In particular, important information related to the political and socio-economic life of the country, the results of the autumn semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, and indicators aimed at including the university in international rankings, especially in the TOP-1000 universities, were comprehensively discussed, and corresponding tasks were set.
Reports were also presented on the monitoring results of doctoral students and independent researchers for 2025, the effectiveness of dissertation defenses, as well as issues related to graduate employment and the organization of internships.
During the meeting, target indicators for 2026 were discussed, and the “Code of Ethics” for members of the Scientific and Technical Council and the Procurement Commission was approved.
For each agenda item, the Chairperson of the Council, Feruza Madrahimova, assigned specific tasks to responsible officials and gave important instructions to strengthen executive discipline.
At the end of the meeting, various issues were discussed, and elections for positions as well as academic titles of the Supreme Attestation Commission (SAC) were conducted.
