An open dialogue was held on the occasion of Youth Day
Today, Thursday, on the occasion of Youth Day, Sherzod Olimov, Head of the Main Department for the Development of Mass Sports at the Ministry of Sports, visited Urgench State University and, accompanied by the university’s Rector Feruza Madrahimova, held an open dialogue with the university’s students and young people. At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Feruza Madrahimova introduced the guest to the students and spoke about the achievements being made in the field of sports today, as well as the results achieved at international competitions.
During the meeting, Sh. Olimov spoke in detail about the qualities that modern young leaders should possess and highlighted the opportunities being created for the development of sports and for young people. Particular attention was paid to identifying talented young people in the regions, engaging them more actively in sports, and providing them with the necessary support.
The meeting also provided detailed information on the mechanisms of a project aimed at digitalizing the sports sector, the role of young people in modern sports, and the opportunities being created for them.
At the end of the dialogue, the students and young people were encouraged to engage in sports regularly, make reading books a daily habit, and continuously work on self-improvement.
