Language is a part of the image of the nation
A conference devoted to the day of the Uzbek language on 21st October was organised in Urgench State University along with Khorezm regional council of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milliy Tiklanish" in cooperation with the group of language guards "Yoshlar qanoti" (Wing of the youth) on October 13, 2020. It was attended by professors and teachers of the Department of Uzbek Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology of UrSU, students, representatives of the Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish" and members of the group of language guards "Yoshlar Qanoti". Our language, which is referred as a great wealth, a priceless heritage, history, is a home for the past and present of our ancestors, and language is a priceless and unparalleled wealth for every nation and people that understand their origins. Indeed, in the heart of a person who loves and respects his mother tongue, his boundless respect for his past, traditions and values, for his great ancestors is embodied. Our invaluable wealth and values gained before the independence are relevant as a criterion for ensuring the full development of our native language, and, of course, in the process of educating young people, special attention is paid to these important factors. During the seminar, such lectures glorifying our language were heard. In particular, the chairman of the regional council of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milliy Tiklanish" R. Ruzmetov, head of the department "Uzbek Linguistics" of the Faculty of Philology, Ph.D., A.Primov, Associate Professor of "Uzbek Linguistics" Sh.Norbaeva made a report on the topic. During the event, students also participated with poems and speeches glorifying our native language.
